New to mountain biking? Welcome to the most fun you can have on two wheels…
Designed by Vitus Bikes and brought to you by Chainreactioncycles.com, all bikes in the Vitus Zircon range feature a lightweight triple-butted 6061-T6 hydroformed aluminium frame and proven components package at a great price.
For newcomers to the sport, the Vitus Zircon III offers 100mm of front suspension travel with lockout mode for city streets or fire-road climbs; high-volume tyres for comfort and grip; powerful mechanical disc brakes for reliable stopping power and a 24-speed SRAM transmission to get you over the steepest ascents and back down the other side.
Built with reliability and versatility in mind, the Zircon III is the perfect bike for off-road forays, commuting duties in the urban jungle or leisurely tow-path trails.
Lightweight frame and 100mm travel RockShox forks
At the heart of the Zircon III is a lightweight, triple-butted, heat treated 6061-T6 aluminium frame with hydroformed tubeset, trail-tuned geometry, replaceable derailleur hanger and excellent upgrade potential. The frame also features internal cable routing to prevent mud and water getting into cable housings – keeping you shifting smoother for longer and keeping your bike out of the shop and out on the trails.
Suspension duties up front are handled by the dependable RockShox XC30 TK coil forks, with 100mm of travel for smooth bump absorption as well as lockout mode for climbing and commuting.
SRAM groupset
The Zircon III features a full 24spd SRAM groupset with X4/X3 shifters and derailleurs and a triple chainset offering a wide selection of gears. Stopping power comes courtesy of Avid BB5 mechanical disc brakes front and rear, with dependable braking even in wet and muddy conditions.
Finishing Kit
A reliable SRAM/Jalco wheelset will make sure you stay rolling while grippy, high-volume Maxxis Advantage tyres keep you firmly planted on the trail or street.
Finally a mix of Easton and Vitus finishing kit round out the Zircon III package – a lightweight and durable bike that’s ready to rip up the trails in your local MTB centre or hunt down hipster fixies on your city commute.
The Vitus Zircon III. Everything you need in a mountain bike. Nothing you don’t..
