Refined and improved for 2013 is our Escarpe range of suspension Trail bikes, built around our custom hydroformed 6061 aluminium frame with 140mm of rear travel delivered via our Vitus V-Link four-bar suspension system.

Designed and developed by Vitus Bikes in association with Chainreactioncycles.com, the Escarpe II offers the perfect real-world riding blend of light weight, strength and stiffness. The ideal rig for blasting the local woodland loop, mixing it up in the hills with your clubmates, lining up for an enduro or playing join-the-berms in a sun-dappled Alpine resort.

140mm travel V-Link frame and RockShox Sektor TK forks
Our lightweight hydroformed multi-butted, heat treated 6061-T6 aluminium frame features 140mm of rear wheel travel via a four-bar V-Link activated suspension platform which eliminates pedal bob yet remains fully active at all times. Suspension travel is controlled by a RockShox Monarch RT air shock which offers infinite adjustability and silky smooth performance. All pivots run on sealed cartridge bearings providing supple performance with low maintenance. A replaceable derailleur hanger comes as standard.

A RockShox Sektor TK fork offers 140mm of buttery smooth, infinitely adjustable travel with a tapered steerer and 15mm Maxle Lite thru-axle for precise, positive tracking through corners and rock gardens or any other obstacle the trail throws at you.

SRAM groupset
The SRAM groupset combines X5/X7 shifters and derailleurs with a SRAM S1000 2×10 chainset delivering slick and precise gear changes in all conditions and a gear ratio that will make short work of any gradient the trail can throw at you. A chain guide is provided as standard to eliminate the chance of chain derailment.
Stopping power is provided by Avid Elixir 3 hydraulic disc brakes with a 180mm rotor up front and a 170mm rotor at the rear to ensure positive, controllable braking.

Finishing kit
A tough wheelset with sealed cartridge bearing disc hubs and Mavic XM 319 disc rims blends XC acceleration with Trail bike durability to take the rough with the smooth. Proven Maxxis High Roller tyres combine predictable handling with low rolling resistance for complete confidence in all conditions. Completing the package is a durable and great value mix of Easton EA50 and Vitus finishing kit.
