Description

For the sinew-straining climb, the adrenaline rush descent, and everything in between.

Renamed and revamped for 2013 is our Gravir range of XC/Trail full suspension bikes, built around our custom hydroformed 6061 aluminium frame and matching 120mm of smooth front-end travel with 100mm of rear bounce delivered via our Vitus V-Link four-bar suspension system.

Designed and developed by Vitus Bikes in association with Chainreactioncycles.com, the Gravir is a true all-rounder that enjoys lung-busting climbs and tricky technical XC as much as it does flat-out descents across the open mountainside, making it the perfect FS choice for marathon and XC events, trail-centre tomfoolery or all-day adventure.

100mm travel V-Link frame and Rockshox Recon Silver TK forks
Our lightweight hydroformed multi-butted, heat treated 6061 aluminium frame features 100mm of rear wheel travel via a Four-Bar V-Link activated suspension platform which eliminates pedal bob yet remains fully active at all times. Suspension travel is controlled by a RockShox Monarch RL air shock offering infinite adjustability and silky smooth performance. All pivots run on sealed cartridge bearings providing supple performance with low maintenance. A replaceable derailleur hanger comes as standard.

RockShox Recon Silver TK forks offer 120mm of trail-taming coil sprung travel. A tapered steerer and 15mm Maxle Lite thru-axle means precise, positive tracking through rock gardens and rough sections of trail.

SRAM groupset
The Gravir II features a 20spd SRAM groupset combining X5 shifters and derailleurs with a SRAM S1000 2×10 chainset to provide slick gear changes and a wide gear ratio that will make short work of any gradient the trail can throw at you.
Avid Elixir 1 hydraulic disc brakes with a 180mm rotor up front and 160mm rotor at the back provide powerful, controllable stopping power ensuring you stay in control at all times.

Finishing kit
Formula/SRAM hubs on proven Mavic XM 319 disc rims combine for a tough, lightweight wheelset that’s ready to take some trail punishment. Large-volume Maxxis High Roller tyres offer dependable grip in all conditions inspiring you to push hard into every corner. A great value components package is rounded out with a mixture of Easton EA50 and Vitus finishing kit for comfort, control and reliability.

Vitus Gravir II. Ready to play?.
