New for 2013 Vitus introduce the Dominer range of 180mm travel Enduro/DH bikes, designed for the high-octane hustle of Alpine descents, Megavalanche assaults or uplift days at your local DH trails. Built around our custom hydroformed 6061 aluminium frame with 180mm of rear travel delivered via our Vitus V-Link four-bar suspension system, the Dominer is kitted out with a bombproof components selection for long-term durability and aggressive riding intent.

Brought to you exclusively by Vitus Bikes and Chainreactioncycles.com, the Dominer I is the apex of our gravity range, a brawn-bred beast of a bike built to let you leave your limits behind you.

150mm travel V-Link frame and RockShox Totem RC Coil Forks
Our lightweight hydroformed multi-butted, heat treated 6061-T6 aluminium frame features 180mm of rear wheel travel via a Four-Bar V-Link activated suspension platform which eliminates pedal bob yet remains fully active at all times. Suspension travel is controlled by a RockShox Vivid R2C coil shock for consistently plush performance whatever the trail may throw at you. All pivots run on sealed cartridge bearings providing supple performance with low maintenance. A replaceable derailleur hanger comes as standard.

Matching the frame’s aggressive abilities, RockShox Totem RC forks on the front end provide 180mm of buttery smooth, coil-sprung travel. A tapered steerer and 20mm Maxle thru-axle mean precise, positive tracking through corners, rock gardens or the toughest of technical DH descents.

SRAM groupset    

The 1×10 SRAM groupset combines an X9 shifter with an X9 Type 2 rear derailleur and a Truvativ Descendant 1.1 chainset for precise and reliable gear changing even in the maelstrom of the DH battlefield, while a SRAM XO chainguide eliminates the chance of chain derailment.

Alpine descents require powerful anchors and the Avid Elixir 7 hydraulic disc brakes will not disappoint; a 203mm rotor on the front and 180mm rotor at the rear ensure consistent, controlled and fade-free braking at all times.

Easton Havoc wheelset and finishing kit
The Dominer I’s Easton Havoc wheelset will shrug off the biggest hits and come back begging for more, making the roughest of Alpine and DH descents feel like a mere pedal through the meadows. Clocking up some air miles? Enjoy your flight because these babies are bombproof, and with a 20mm thru-axle front hub and 12mm thru-axle rear optimum stiffness is a given.

High volume Maxxis High Roller II tyres wrap these hardcore hoops, with proven and predictable handling in all conditions making them the rubber of choice for DH riders everywhere.

To complete the package we’ve added an Easton Havoc stem and seatpost to complement the wheelset with Vitus bars, grips and saddle providing the finishing touches.
