For 29er aficionados looking for a well-specced big-wheeler, the Vitus Zircon 29  VR features 2×10 SRAM X7 transmission and a 15mm thru-axle fork for improved stiffness and front-end tracking.

At Vitus we say it’s up to you to decide if a 29 VR is right for your size and your riding style, but many riders claim a smoother, faster ride – especially over uneven surfaces – and a better fit in larger bike sizes.

Lightweight frame and 100mm travel RockShox forks
At the heart of the Zircon 29 VR is a lightweight, triple-butted, heat treated 6061-T6 aluminium frame with hydroformed tubeset, trail-tuned geometry, replaceable derailleur hanger and excellent upgrade potential. The frame also features internal cable routing to prevent mud and water getting into cable housings – keeping you shifting smoother for longer and keeping your bike out of the shop and out on the trails.

Suspension duties up front are handled by RockShox Recon Silver TK 29 air forks, with 100mm of travel for smooth bump absorption, 15mm thru-axle for pinpoint-precise handling and lockout mode for climbing and commuting.

SRAM groupset
The Zircon 29 VR features a 20spd SRAM groupset combining X5 shifters and derailleurs with a SRAM S1000 2×10 chainset to provide slick gear changes and a wide gear ratio that will make short work of any gradient the trail can throw at you.

Avid Elixir 3 hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm/170mm rotors provide powerful, controlled stopping capability even in the worst of off-road conditions.

Finishing Kit
A durable and lightweight SRAM/Mavic wheelset offers impeccable trail performance while Maxxis Beaver tyres keep you firmly planted on the trail or street.

A mix of Easton and Vitus finishing kit round out the Zircon 29 VR package – a well-specced 29er ready for the race course, trail centre or backwoods adventure.
