Description
Our race-bred carbon frame now available for 2013 with ultra-reliable Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting technology.
Designed and developed by Vitus Bikes and Chainreactioncycles.com, the Vitus Vitesse VRi’s custom-moulded high-modulus carbon frame and pro-level transmission technology bring electronic shifting within the reach of the keen club racer or dedicated sportive rider.
Lightweight T700 HM-UD carbon frame – 950g frame weight – UCI Approved
Our lightweight high-modulus uni-directional carbon frames are manufactured using T700 HM-UD carbon to combine light weight and impeccable handling with just the right balance of stiffness and vertical compliance. Complemented by a matching HM-UD carbon fork for reduced road buzz and precise handling even on broken surfaces.
Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset
New for 2013 the Vitesse VRi is available with 10-speed Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic shift transmission, bringing push-button gear changing out of the pro Peloton and into the hands of ordinary riders.
Featuring many of the attributes of its premium Dura Ace Di2 big brother, Ultegra Di2 presents all the benefits of electronic shifting at a fraction of the cost.
A 50t x 34t compact chainset combined with the 11tt-25t cassette offers a wide gear range ideal for all but the steepest of alpine ascents and will cater for the needs of racers and sportive riders alike.
Braking duties are taken care of by Shimano Ultegra dual pivot callipers delivering the perfect blend of stopping power and modulation for handling and increased confidence on even the steepest descents.
A Vitus chain catcher comes as standard on our carbon models to reduce the risk of damaging the frame in the event of an overshift on the chainrings.
Finishing kit
FSA bars, stem and seatpost provide lightweight, race-proven components inspiring faith and confidence in the bike’s capabilities. Lightweight Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels offer excellent acceleration and low rotational weight to deliver speed and climbing prowess. Schwalbe Ultremo ZX tyres offer low rolling resistance and sure-footed handling even in the wet, enabling you to push your boundaries into every turn.
