The Sean Kelly LTD Edition is our flagship road bike designed in collaboration with Vitus brand ambassador Sean Kelly, the most successful Vitus rider in the proud history of the marque and the man regarded by many as the finest Classics rider of all time.

The 2013 incarnation of our top-end monocoque carbon road bike features a full SRAM New Red groupset with Mavic Ksyrium SLS wheelset and Kelly’s own preference of 3T Pro finishing kit; tipping the scales at 6.9kg, just above the UCI legal weight limit for competition.

Lightweight T700 HM-UD Carbon Frame – 950g Frame Weight – UCI Approved
Our lightweight high-modulus uni-directional carbon frames are manufactured using T700 HM-UD carbon to combine light weight and impeccable handling with just the right balance of stiffness and vertical compliance. Complemented by a matching HM-UD carbon fork with tapered steerer for reduced road buzz and precise handling, even on broken surfaces.
The frame features ‘classic’ racing angles and a distinctive black and green livery to reflect the Irish heritage and sporting record of Kelly, who notched 80% of his 193 professional victories astride a bike bearing the Vitus badge, most notably the iconic aluminium-framed Vitus 979 which he rode with distinction in several Tours de France.

SRAM New Red groupset
SRAM have been ahead of the game in recent years with their ultralight Red groupset. The New Red groupset has been revamped and now shaves off even more weight!

Top Pro Tour teams have been using SRAM Red for years now and for good reason too, ultimate performance combined with lightweight and superb aesthetics combine to create the most highly sought after groupset in the Pro Peloton! Shifting has been improved thanks to the redesign of the front and rear derailleurs.

Braking performance has been enhanced with the redesigned Red brakes which also boast a more aero profile adding to this bikes true race ready pedigree.

The redesigned shift and brake levers offer improved ergonomics with a wider range of adjustment making it easy to fine tune the levers position to your own personal preference.

The SRAM Red front derailleur features a chain catcher to reduce the risk of damaging the frame in the event of an overshift on the chainrings.

Finishing kit
The race-proven pedigree of the Seán Kelly LTD Edition is complemented with Kelly’s own choice of 3T Pro stem, bars and seatpost for a balance of light weight and high performance. Aluminium is still the component material of choice for The King as well as many of today’s Pro Tour riders and who are we to argue?

Lightweight Mavic Ksyrium SLS wheels reduce rotational weight making these the perfect climber’s wheel that will also accelerate with rapid response whenever the hammer is dropped for a sprint to the finish line! The Mavic Yksion tyres are the perfect match for grip in all conditions with low rolling resistance making for a great race day tyre that has the durability to take on midweek training rides as well.

A custom Prologo Scratch Pro saddle completes the build kit with comfort and unique styling which sets this bike apart from the opposition!

You don’t need royal blood to ride the Sean Kelly LTD Edition. But if you want to stay on The King’s wheel, you need a bike with a royal bloodline.
