Designed and developed by Vitus Bikes and Chainreactioncycles.com to meet the needs of the endurance rider, the Dark Plasma VR is built with all-day comfort in mind.

T700 HM-UD carbon frame – 950g frame weight
Our lightweight high-modulus uni-directional carbon frames are manufactured using T700 HM-UD carbon, with semi-sloping geometry for endurance riding comfort.
We have updated our frame specifications to include a cut out on the seatstay bridge which adds a little more vertical compliance for increased rider comfort and reduced road vibration through the seatstays. This will benefit sportive and endurance riders who value long-distance comfort over increased stiffness.
Shimano 105/FSA groupset
Shimano 105 5700 shifters and derailleurs offer crisp, effortless shifting while an FSA Gossamer Pro compact chainset with 50t x 34t rings and a 12t-25t cassette provide a gear ratio that will see you over the steepest of hills with relative ease. A Vitus chain catcher comes as standard on our carbon models to reduce the risk of damaging the frame in the event of an overshift on the chainrings.

FSA bars, stem and seatpost provide lightweight, race-proven components inspiring faith and confidence in this Gran Fondo-inspired steed.
Trusted Mavic Ksyrium Equipe wheels offer lightweight performance and snappy accelerations, while Schwalbe Lugano tyres will keep you rolling along with impeccable handling and predictability urging you to push your boundaries on every turn.
