Vitesse – the clue is in the name.
Revised and updated for 2013 the Vitus Vitesse features a custom-moulded high-modulus carbon frame and competition-level components package to give your performance an edge. As the name suggests, the Vitesse is built for speed, a race-bred powerhouse designed to be ridden hard in the most demanding of conditions without ever reaching its limits before you do.
Designed and developed by Vitus Bikes and Chainreactioncycles.com, the Vitesse range will suit experienced riders looking for a lightweight carbon racing companion that is equally at home with long-distance duty and hilly sportive rides.
Lightweight T700 HM-UD carbon frame – 950g frame weight – UCI Approved
Our lightweight high-modulus Uni-Directional carbon frames are manufactured using T700 HM-UD carbon to combine light weight and impeccable handling with just the right balance of stiffness and vertical compliance. Complemented by a matching HM-UD carbon fork with tapered steerer for reduced road buzz and precise handling even on broken surfaces.
Shimano Ultegra/FSA groupset
The groupset features a mix of Shimano Ultegra 6700 and FSA with slick, positive shifting from Shimano Ultegra 6700 shifters and derailleurs. The heart of the drivetrain is an FSA Energy 50t x 34t chainset which offers the perfect ratio of gears for midweek club races and weekend sportives when combined with the 12t-25t cassette.
FSA Gossamer brakes will increase your confidence on descents through reliable and effective stopping power.
A Vitus chain catcher comes as standard on our carbon models to reduce the risk of damaging the frame in the event of an overshift on the chainrings.
Finishing kit
FSA bars, stem and seatpost provide lightweight, race-proven components inspiring faith and confidence in the bike’s capabilities. Lightweight Mavic Ksyrium Equipe wheels offer excellent acceleration and low rotational weight to deliver speed and climbing prowess. Schwalbe Ultremo ZX tyres offer low rolling resistance and sure-footed handling even in the wet, enabling you to push your boundaries into every turn.
