Why hardtail? Why anything else?
With the Zircon platform we have honed and refined the simple promise of the hardtail mountain bike creating a lightweight and versatile trail tamer as at home on the flowing singletrack descents of your local trail centre as it is on the starting line of a marathon event or club XC race.
Top talking point is the Zircon’s 20-speed transmission – a departure from the 27-speed gearing that is the norm among its peers but a feature we believe offers a considerably better rider experience, with lighter weight thanks to a two-ring chainset, a gear ratio designed specifically for the unique demands of off-road riding and easier shifting in adverse conditions.
Of course the transmission is only part of the story – at the heart of the Zircon is a lightweight, stiff and responsive triple-butted 7.46 aluminium frame using custom-drawn aerospace tubing and featuring trail-friendly geometry for confident handling in technical terrain, while suspension duties are taken care of by a 120mm Rockshox Recon R fork.
Add in Avid Elixir 3 disc brakes, Truvativ Stylo finishing kit and WTB tyres for a ready-to-ride package that hardtail connoisseurs will love and suspension addicts may well be pleasantly surprised by.
Zircon. The hardtail, evolved.
