If your biking kit consists of bib shorts, energy gels and a heart monitor rather than baggies and kneepads then the Optimumplatform of bikes is aimed squarely at you and your racing rivals.
A high-performance carbon-framed MTB featuring 20-speed transmission, 100mm front travel and a selection of lightweight but durable parts, the Optimum 1 is designed primarily for competitive cross-country riding, training and racing.
Although its natural habitat lies between the starting line and the winner’s podium, don’t let its racing pedigree fool you into thinking it’s a one-trick pony. The Optimum is also a steed happy to accompany you on all-day epics in the hills and Sunday spins with your clubmates.
Its lightweight and responsive custom-moulded high-modulus carbon fibre frame provides the perfect blend of comfort and stiffness – ideal for long days and the saddle and for challenging technical courses, but ready to leap into action when you put the power down.
Featuring ‘classic’ XC racer geometry and a 100mm Rockshox Reba SL fork, the Optimum 1 also comes complete with top-drawer kit including Avid Elixir 5 brakes, 20-speed Truvativ/SRAM X7 transmission, Truvativ Stylo cockpit and seatpost, Laser Disc XC wheelset and WTB Wolverine tyres.
Race day or all-day – make the Optimum choice.
