Description

NEW for 2015; the Energie GR takes all the attributes of the disc brake equipped Vitus Energie and transforms it into a purpose built all weather; all discipline; all day training and commuting bike! Get off the asphalt and onto the back roads and country lanes; go exploring and take the roads less travelled or race your way through the fire-roads and trailways. Do it all on the Energie GR!

The Energie features a tough 6061-T6 alloy frame with carbon fork with alloy steerer and has been designed to tackle everything from gravel road exploring to cyclo-cross racing; new for 2015 we have added a 27.2 seatpost for added comfort and tweaked the geometry by adding a longer top tube and shorter stem combination to increase the front centre dimensions and improve handling. The robust nature of this bike will also be ideally suited to commuters and touring fanatics who wish to add panniers and racks and will also double up as a great winter training bike.
By swapping out the tyres for a pair of CX race tyres the Energie can be transformed into a weekend race bike; whatever your preference the new Vitus Energie GR will fulfil your every expectation!
The Energie GR features a Shimano Tiagra groupset with Tektro Lyra mechanical disc brakes; WTB SX17/Formula wheelset and Vitus finishing kit to complete the package.

Triple-Butted 6061-T6 Aluminium Frame & HM-UD Carbon Fork With Tapered Alloy Steerer
Our disc brake specific frameset features a triple-butted hydroformed tubeset with increased tyre and mud clearance for high volume tyres. Cable routing has been specifically designed to prevent ingress of mud and water and to increase comfort when shouldering the bike during cyclo-cross race situations. A High-Modulus T700 HM-UD Carbon fork features a tapered alloy steerer and beefed-up blades to ensure precise tracking and steering with the ability to handle the rigours of back road excursions to full on competitive cyclo-cross racing.
Bottle cage mounts have been added along with mudguard and pannier mounts to expand the potential for all year multi-purpose use.
