In what is arguably THE biggest test of hardtail trail bikes in the UK – the Vitus Sentier has successfully defended it’s title in the sub £1000 category to become MBR’s Hardtail of the Year 2015.
This year’s test of the best-performing and best-value hardtails on the market was bigger and better than ever. With more bikes, four distinct categories and even more testing – in short if you are in the market for a hardtail this is the test to pay attention to. Rest assured, no stone has been left unturned in unearthing the best hardtails of 2015.
Contending against bikes from Cannondale, Ghost, BMC, Giant and BIRD the Vitus Sentier VRS took the test win with a mammoth 9/10 overall score. Tester Alan Muldoon was suitably impressed with the new VRS for 2015 – highlighting the upgrades over the 2014 bike to 140mm travel bolt through forks, 1 degree slacker head angle, tweaked geometry and updated build specification.
Having taken the HOTY title in 2014 with the Sentier VR, Vitus Brand Manager Simon Cordner say’s that the company are delighted to hold on to such a prestigious award.
“We’re delighted to once again be crowned as MBR’s Hardtail of The Year. We didn’t rest on our laurels after taking the win last season and set straight to work on improving the Sentier for 2015. Having taken on-board feedback from the magazine testers and conducting some more rigorous testing on the trails it’s safe to say that the Sentier has taken another leap forward for 2015”
