New for 2013 we introduce the Dee 29 – the same smooth-rolling big-wheel action of the Vee 29, now with disc brakes for improved stopping power and all-weather reliability.
29er wheels mean a bike that rolls better over rough roads and small kerbs, while Promax mechanical disc brakes with 160mm rotors mean more controlled braking, especially in the wet.
What’s a 29er?
We knew you’d ask that. A 29er is an MTB, just with road bike-sized wheels (700c or 29”) rather than the 26” hoops found on ‘normal’ mountain bikes.
At Vitus we say it’s up to you to decide if a 29er is right for your size and your riding style, but many riders claim a smoother, faster ride – especially over uneven surfaces – and a better fit in larger bike sizes.
The Dee 29 is based on the same no-nonsense aluminium frame as its Vee I and Dee I cousins and specced with the same tough components package – tough alloy disc wheels wrapped in high-volume Kenda tyres; FSA Vero singlespeed chainset and durable Vitus finishing kit.
Brought to you exclusively by Chainreactioncycles.com, the world’s largest online bike store, the Vitus Dee 29 is the perfect introduction to the world of big-wheel action, in a package that won’t break the bank.
Rediscover the fun factor.
