Ross & Devlin  > No it’s not a 1970’s Cop Show

There’s no doubt that Enduro as an MTB discipline has boomed in recent years. For many of those who’ve been riding off-road for years – “Enduro” is just a new word for what was originally known as mountain biking. A true mix of up, down and across the mountains .. the only difference is that it’s now against the clock.

For 2016 we’ve put together an amazing partnership consisting of multiple Irish National Champion and Vitus Bikes Ambassador Colin Ross and upcoming Junior rider Jack Devlin from Northern Ireland.

Colin Ross (or Rosco as he’s affectionately known) needs little to no introduction in MTB circles. Having been at the forefront of the MTB world in Ireland for nearly two decades, Colin has raced all disciplines at a high level – representing Ireland at World Cup level in DH and riding for the Vitus Bikes Factory Racing Team over the last number of seasons in the Irish National DH and Enduro World Series. Having raced competitively for some time Colin made the decision at the end of 2015 to stop racing and focus on his MTB Training business “Rosco Lines”

We’ve no doubt that Rosco may well come out of retirement in 2016 given that the Enduro World Series returns to Carrick, Ireland this spring and that eventually he’ll realise that he has just one more season in him! Until that happens, Vitus Bikes have partnered with Colin for 2016 to offer assistance and guidance to Jack Devlin – a very promising Junior rider who this season will make the switch from DH to Enduro.

Over the last two seasons Jack has progressed through the DH ranks competing in the Nukeproof IDMS and British Downhill Series. Taking a number of wins on both sides of the Irish Sea in 2015 Jack has decided to make the move to Enduro for the coming season where he will ride a Vitus Sommet VRX. Under the guidance of Rosco, Jack will compete in the Vitus FirstTracks Enduro Cup, Vitus GravityEnduro.ie Series and select rounds of the Enduro World Series.

From the word go with bikes I have looked up to Colin, he has been a huge figure in Irish Mountain Biking In both dh and recently Enduro, he has majorly helped me through my 2 years of riding in DH, he has been training the likes of Jacob Dickson, and Sacha Bickerstaff who is also with Vitus, and both of these guys have did extremely well in the world circuit! so to gain his experience is amazing!
