We’re extremely proud of our Vitus bikes that we’ve been developing over the last year. The first reviews are beginning to appear in the press, and they’re getting some good write-ups.

Road cycling website Road.cc recently put the Vitus Dark Plasma to the test, where they commended the quality of the frameset and the stiff, confident ride it offers.

The Dark Plasma uses a custom moulded high-modulus carbon frame with 12k weave finish and a matching carbon fork. It has 18-speed Shimano Tiagra transmission including compact double chainset, finished off with a  lightweight Pro-Lite wheelset and finishing kit from Vitus and Controltech. You’re getting a lot of bike for your money.

But we would say that, wouldn’t we? Here’s what road.cc said:

"A custom moulded high-modulus carbon frame and fork finished off with a 12k weave are at the heart of the Vitus and a very good frameset it is too.

The frame provides a very stiff ride yet without any form of road vibration getting through to your contact points and just loves to be pushed hard.

A shortish headtube giving a low front end and the stiff full carbon fork means handling is kept tight tracking wherever you point the handlebars. That short headtube also makes the Vitus ideal for the odd time-trial where a set of clip-ons should keep you in an aero position meaning the Dark Plasma is very versatile."
