Matti Adair wins Irish XC National Points Series

Vitus sponsored cross-country rider Matti Adair rounded off the Irish National Points Series with another win at the weekend, finishing with a lead of just under four minutes and taking the overall 2011 NPS title. 

Vitus sponsored cross-country rider Matti Adair rounded off the Irish National Points Series with another win at the weekend, finishing with a lead of just under four minutes and taking the overall 2011 NPS title.

Here’s Matti’s report from the weekend:

“This weekend was the final round of the Irish NPS held in Castlewellan Forest Park. The days leading up to the race were wet which made the course slippery, but the race started well and I quickly got a gap over the next Junior. By the end of the first lap I had a gap of just over a minute, but on the second lap I crashed and hurt my leg which made pedaling hard. After a while my leg started to feel better and I continued to push on.

In the next few laps I pulled out my lead and finished in first by just under four minutes, which meant I also won the overall NPS. Overall I’m happy with how my race went.”
