Vitus rider, Matthew Adair took part in the final round of the Ulster Cyclocross league last weekend in Ormeau Park, Belfast.
Speaking after the event Matthew told us " I went into today’s race with the chance to wrap up the overall league with one round remaining. So from the start I pushed hard and by the first lap of the 8 lap race I had a 10 second advantage. On the 2nd, 3rd and 4th lap the advantage steadied out to around 20 seconds. On the 5th lap I pushed hard to open the gap to second place to 40 seconds and I held this advantage to the finish to take win number 5 out of 5 and wrap up the overall league.
Matthew will take part in the Ulster Cyclocross champs this weekend in Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor.
