Liverpool FC physio to ride Coast to Coast with Vitus

Chain Reaction Cycles have teamed up with Liverpool Football Club's first team physiotherapist Chris Morgan, to support him as he completes the well known Coast-to-Coast Challenge in Northern England.

Chain Reaction Cycles have teamed up with Liverpool Football Club's first team physiotherapist Chris Morgan, to support him as he completes the well known Coast-to-Coast Challenge in Northern England.

Chris and a few close friends will be completing the picturesque journey in three days at the end of May, raising money for the Christie Cancer Research Hospital in Manchester, a cause which is close to his heart.

"Back in 2011, through the power of Twitter and the generosity of my 25,000 followers I was able to raise over £20k for Christies when I completed the Manchester 10K run. By a strange twist of fate my Dad has recently commenced treatment at the same hospital for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (a type of blood cancer) so although I always planned to fundraise again, the situation with my own dad has made me realise just how important this type of charity fundraising is.

To continue my fundraising (and give myself a little extra challenge) I thought I'd step out of my comfort zone for 2012 and have decided to take on a cycle based challenge. Being more of a runner (though not a great one), and a relative newcomer to cycling I know this is going to be tough! I'm extremely grateful for the support of Chain Reaction Cycles and Vitus bikes – who have kitted me out for the challenge with some top quality clothing and provided me with a new 2012 Vitus bike to allow me to complete the Coast-to-Coast."

Chris will be riding a Vitus Mach 3 and will be kitted out in OneTen and CRC clothing for the challenge. Chain Reaction Cycles are pleased to support such a worthy cause and hope that you'll support Chris along the way.
