We are excited to announce a new race team that will put Vitus bikes on the start line for most of the UK’s biggest road race events. Vitus’s racing heritage going back to the 1980’s with Sean Kelly, then over recent years with the An Post CRC team.
Team manger Cherie Pridham is UK’s only female team boss, Cherie was leading racer in the 1990’s and had her first win riding a Vitus 979. “2018 will be an exciting new beginning for the team” says Cherie. “The security of our new sponsorship will provide a platform for many young future stars to race at the highest level in Britain and learn about the sport from within it. Vitus are aligned with our approach, and I am delighted that the team is supported by a brand that creates bikes for all ages, all abilities and disciplines.”
Vitus Marketing manager Steve Kitchin added “These are exciting times for Vitus, we are looking forward to be working with Cherie and the team and building the New Vitus Pro Cycling Team in the years ahead. The team’s philosophy of developing new talent fits perfectly with our aim of producing bikes that take you to the next level. Racing is an important part of the Vitus heritage, stemming back to the original Vitus 979 classic bikes of the 80’s, raced by our long term ambassador Sean Kelly. We’re looking forward to working with the riders and further refining new bikes with the team in the years ahead.”
