Final round of the Irish NPS

Vitus Bikes rider Matti Adair took the win in the final round of the Irish National Points Series, and in doing so sealed overall victory in the competition.

Here’s Matti’s report from his title-winning race:

“This weekend was the final round of the Irish NPS held in Castlewellan Forest Park. The days leading up to the race were wet which made the course really slippery. The race started well and I quickly got a gap over the next Junior rider.

By the end of the first lap I had a gap of just over a minute, but on the second lap I crashed and hurt my leg, making pedaling hard. After a while my leg started to feel better and I continued to push on.

In the next few laps I pulled out my lead and finished ahead of the pack in just under four minutes, taking the win and the overall NPS title. I was really happy with how my race went.”
