Dan Wolfe breaks into Top 40 at EWS opener

Dan NZ

After the long wait over winter the Enduro World Series 2015 finally got underway in Rotorua, New Zealand as part of the Crankworx NZ Festival. With a top field of riders including no less than 14 World Champions taking place the season opener was far from a walk in the park!

With practice day claiming numerous casualties which would include the reigning World Champ Jared Graves (YETI) it was safe to say that conditions were truly testing all weekend. Vitus Bikes EWS Rider Dan Wolfe posted some solid stage times across Sunday’s racing to just tuck into the top 40 places in 39th spot. This is a great opener for Dan on board his Vitus Sommet Pro and we’re certain that he’ll be looking to making some improvements for Round 2 – on his home soil in Ireland!

“It was a seriously tough race in every aspect. I felt like I was battling all week and not really getting anywhere. I’ve had an amazing few weeks in NZ and the opening EWS Round was an incredible event. I’m looking forward to getting some redemption in the next one! Home soil .. home advantage!”

You can check out the highlights from all the action in Rotorua in the video edit below. If you can’t wait until the Chain Reaction Cycles Emerald Enduro (EWS Round 2) .. here’s a great preview from ENDURO-MTB // HERE
