CRC-sponsored Lucy Gossage is chasing a qualification place for Kona 2014, preparing for Ironman races, 70.3 events and duathlons, but what bike is the up-and-coming young star using? We take a closer look…

“Good old Chain Reaction Cycles have really gone to town with my Vitus Chrono this year”, Lucy says, “though to be honest I don’t know enough about bikes to fully appreciate the top end components they’ve fitted it with. Luckily however I have enough male friends who do to fill me in.

“Blimey they’ve even given you a SRAM dome cassette”. Me: “Eh. What does that mean?!” Yes Chain Reaction, you’ve well and truly done me proud. I just hope I can do the bike justice! Thank-you – I really did fall on my feet when I signed with you last year.”

Lucy's race-ready Vitus Chrono. It's a little different from the stock Chrono, so let's take a look at the custom parts Lucy's running…

SRAM TT 500 brake levers take care of stopping the 'Duracell Bunny'.

SRAM's Red Powerdome 10-speed cassette is used at the rear along with a SRAM Red Aero Glide 10 speed rear mech.

Keeping with the theme, SRAM's Red brakeset is used front and back.

Ritchey bars combine with 3T extensions up front.

A 3T adjustable stem help to get the cockpit down low for extra aero advantage!
