A lot happens in a stage race and the Bedford 3 Day (International stage race) was no different. For me it was a strong performance having punctured on Stage 3 meaning losing time so I decided to battle for QOM points.
A bit late in the game but its all part of figuring out my strengths and weaknesses so I was delighted to see how strong I was in the climbs and shocked to see how much room for improvement I need to make in other areas. I managed to get 3rd place in the QOM Jersey classification.
This has been the most promising result so far for me. The team managed to get a 9th in the final sprint. The team showed strength and performed well but we had opportunities that we were saying quietly ‘what if…’ but that’s cycling.
