The Rapide; a dedicated and thoroughbred race proven platform aimed at riders seeking a high level performance bike for XC and marathon racing. The Ultra-Light T700 HM-UD carbon frame features refined geometry and impeccable handling characteristics optimised for 29” wheels.
The 2017 Rapide features an upgraded components package that leaves racers wanting for nothing; a RockShox SID RL fork; the all NEW SRAM Eagle X01 groupset with SRAM Guide hydraulic disc brakes; WTB / Novatec wheelset and FSA Afterburner finishing kit for the complete race day ready components package!
Ultra-Light HM-UD Full Carbon Frame
The Rapide frame features sculpted tubing for increased standover height; a short headtube and chainstays combined with a low bottom bracket create a low centre of gravity for improved handling and stability on fast sections of trail.
The larger wheel size rolls over obstacles and rocks with greater efficiency allowing you to carry more speed for less effort helping to reduce rider fatigue and improve performance.
Sculpted seat and chain stays improve power transfer and rear end rigidity whilst the oversized bottom bracket area increases lateral stiffness for better acceleration by transmitting every ounce of pedalling energy through the drivetrain to the rear wheel.
